Arunachal Adventures X – The delight of rafting down the Kameng (Bhareli). A road visit to Bomdila – Tawang area on this shorter trip and then the sheer joy of rafting down and angling in the beautiful Kameng River. Visit Nameri and Kaziranga.
1. Intention. To experience the joy of rafting by doing so down the Kameng (Bhareli) and through our spirit of adventure visiting the higher reaches of the Himalayas and sharing a few days in the lives of the Monpas. To cherish our drives through the great rainforests, to delight in nature at her un-spoilt best, cross some passes on the lofty Himalayas and visit the monasteries including the home of the Gelugpa Sect of the Mahayana tradition in Tawang and join in their prayers. If in Jan/Feb may chance to see the Torgya or Lossar festivals and in October may chance to see the Buddha Mahotsav. Simply to revel in nature’s grandeur – something adventure alone offers us as nothing else can in what is surely amongst the world’s last untouched wonders.

Add three to four days for Delhi and visits to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, etc. In view of the requirement for us to obtain Restricted Area or Inner Line permits and have them extended it is strongly suggested that registration requests are made at least three to four months in advance as also mentioned in 8 (b) below.
