If embellished with additional horse and/or camel safaris this will be an amazing trip. You will surely return again and again for more.

5. Broad Itinerary.(Refer Map)

(a) Transfer from airport to a hotel to rest and recoup and a full or half day sight seeing depending on arrival timings. (For those that have visited Delhi earlier the halt at Delhi can be minimized)

(b) The main trip starts from Delhi itself whence we head for Sariska Wild Life Sanctuary and Alwar where we halt over in a small castle. An early morning pleasant ride to the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary follows with a halt enroute at Deeg and ending at Agra and the Taj Mahal (2 nights).

(c) Next to Jaipur where after a night over and a day we reach the Shekawati where its crumbling art and haveli resorts interest us the next day and night after which we head for Bikaner which also we give time. We head next for Khimsar and Osiyan. (Camel safari, if requested, is best undertaken at this stage before Jaisalmer and is arranged on request as an addition to the basic itinerary). There-after sights are set on Jaisalmer via Keechan where half the trip concludes. (Total 7 nights).

(d) A day around Jaisalmer and, rested, away we head through desert roads for Jodhpur. Two days of intense desert driving and then a day to recoup and visit Jodhpur and its sights. Eastwards and a halt near Kotdi where the local handicrafts enthrall us which will allow us to spend a day on horse back – the Marwari horse is a magnificent steed and it may take a more than a little persuasion to get you to accept to return to your mo-bikes. (Horses are an alternative to mo-bikes and to be preferred here). For those adhering only to mo-bikes these two days have equal interest in the Aravallis. (Total 6 nights).

(e) Pushkar and Ajmer are the next points which we reach after some rather intense and captivating drives through the Aravallis. (Total 2 nights)

(f) Starting early we head back for Delhi via Jaipur and catch the night flight home.
